The History of Nottingham and its Castle by Stephen Glover transcribed by C A Graeme Webster

Stephen Glover is best known for his History, Gazetteer and Directory of Derbyshire Glover also published a Nottingham Directory in 1825 and an updated History and Directory of the Town and County of the Town of Nottingham in 1844 in addition to other guides that are listed in the Bibliography.

His Notebook for The History of Nottingham and its Castle has been transcribed and footnotes added by his great, great, great grandson Graeme Webster who photographed all the pages before painstakingly transcribing the notes. Using modern digitizing techniques it has been possible to decipher all the notes. This is another work that celebrates Glover’s achievements some 200 years after he was writing.
