The Church, its Mission in Loving, Worshipping, Caring and Sharing

At the time of writing I am in my 49th year of ordained ministry and was a Church Growth Teacher and Mission Enabler in a section of 9 Churches. I have been Minister in Pastoral Charge of 19 Churches and have lectured on Church Growth and Missiology in many of our Theological and Bible Colleges.
I have found many Churches and Church Members wanting to be more effective in Mission but not really understanding how to become effective. I have also found a number of Churches with little or no real concern for mission because they are self-satisfied with their situation.
Yet, the spiritual state of our nation today is extremely sad. If the Church is to arrest its history of decline it should use an effective evangelistic strategy. No group of believing Christians have any right to refer to themselves as a Christian Church unless they are actively involved in evangelism reaching out to the estimated 92% of the British population who do not attend a Church nor consider themselves Christians.
The only way I am able to reach today’s Church in my very senior years is through my writing. The aim of this book: “The Church – its Mission” is to encourage and teach the Church and its leaders in Effective Mission and Church Growth. In the words of Dr Donald McGavran: “God wants His Church to grow …. God wants lost people found”.
