Seasons and Sanctuaries – A Journey Through a Church by Ann R Parker

Some of the poems in this book are about church seasons, others may relate to ‘life seasons’; times of grief or anger. Sanctuaries refers to the effect of St Peter’s on the many who enter it. The building has a peaceful ambience as a whole, which people often comment on. Or there are particular corners where individuals choose to sit, perhaps to contemplate an aspect of the architecture. Or maybe to connect with a sense of those who have ‘gone before’. Or where they particularly hear God. There is often a  sense of hope in security in the shafts of light through the clerestory window of the sound of rain upon the roof.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will go towards St Peter’s church roof restoration fund.
