Early Primitive Methodist activity rapidly spread through the four counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Lancashire. The first phrase of this activity can be identified on the printed plan for March-June 1812 when all four counties had been reached. The message so successfully proclaimed was a ‘full, free and present salvation’.
